Eccentric Grandma is dedicated to maintaining the privacy and protection of your personal information.

Summary

It is not my intention to collect personal information unless you voluntarily provide it to me for a specific reason. I believe your information should be kept as private as possible unless you want to share it.

I may receive information about you from other sources. For example, if you choose to link other services or websites, I may receive your name and/or email, etc.

If you provide personal information, it may be shared with a third party service provider only in order to fulfill your request; such as if you make a purchase from my site, sign up for a newsletter or request e-mail promotions. I do not sell personal information to others.

This is the internet and many of its programs and features may also automatically collect non-personally identifiable information.

This Privacy Policy outlines (to the best of my knowledge) information that may be collected when you visit this site, where the information goes and how the information is used.

What Personal Data is Collected and Why

Information You Voluntarily Submit:

I may collect personal information, which you voluntarily provide, such as your name or email address. If I decide to offer items for sale, I may also collect your address and other information related to the purchase. You may also voluntarily submit information to the Website by leaving a comment, subscribing to a newsletter, submitting a contact form, uploading media or some other method.

Comments

If you leave comments on the site the data shown in the comments form along with the IP address and browser user agent string information will be collected in order to help spam detection. When leaving a comment you may choose to provide personally identifiable information in the form of a user name, avatar and/or a website URL.  I highly encourage visitors not to include phone numbers, email or personal addresses, etc. in their comments. I have no control over, how others may use information they find in the comments section and I take no responsibility for personal information left in comments. It is up to you to keep your personal information private. Also, comments with personal information may be taken down and deleted.

Media

By uploading images, sound files, video or any other media to EccentricGrandma.com, you are giving your permission for such files to be displayed and/or used by EccentricGrandma.com. All creative rights to your materials remain yours. Such files may contain personally identifiable information.  Remember, any media files uploaded to any website can be accessed by other visitors of the website; I cannot take any responsibility for what others may do with those files. If you do not want others to have access to those files, do not upload them.

***Note: If you choose to upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to a website can download and extract location data from images on a website.

Links to Other Websites

I do not control and am not responsible for any information, personal, private or otherwise that you may enter on or that may be obtained by another site; even if you link to that site from EccentricGrandma.com. If you enter personal information on any site, you should review its particular Privacy Policy.

Information Collected from Others

If you use a third-party software that needs to transfer information to me for fulfillment, or if you choose to link your Facebook, Instagram, and/or Google accounts to your user profile, etc., I may receive information about you. In such cases I will receive your name, email address and profile picture associated with the linked account. Your information will only be used for the purpose intended. For instance, if I receive your personal email from a linked account, it will not be used to deliver newsletters or promotional emails unless you specifically sign up for them.

 Gravatar

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

What Non-Personal Data Is Collect and Why

Automatically-Collected Information

Certain information may be automatically collected about you and the device with which you access the Website. For example, when you use the Website, your IP address (in some cases an IP address may be considered personal information), operating system type, browser type, referring website, pages you viewed, and the dates/times when you accessed the Website may be logged. I may also collect information about actions you take when using the Website, such as links clicked. This information may be used for analytics and Website improvement.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.

Cookies may also be used to record the pages you access or visit, to store your preferences and customize Website content.

Cookies may also be used by third-party services, such as Google Analytics and Affiliates Programs.

How Your Information May Be Used

I may use the information collected in the following ways:

I may share your information with third parties when you explicitly authorize me to share your information. Such as when you make a purchase from the website, your information will have to be shared with a service provider in order to fulfill your order.

Additionally, I may use other third-party service providers to service various aspects of the Website. Each third-party service provider’s use of your personal information is dictated by their respective privacy policies. The Website currently uses the following third-party service providers:

Google Analytics – this service tracks Website usage and provides information such as referring websites and user actions on the Website. I do not currently offer a newsletter or have an email list. If I decide to offer those services in the future, I will use one of the following providers.

Mad Mimi – this service is used for delivery of email updates and newsletters. I store your name and email address for purposes of delivering such communications. For more information, please see Mad Mimi’s privacy policy. 

Mail Chimp – this service is used for delivery of email updates and newsletters. I store your name and email address for purposes of delivering such communications.  Please refer to Mail Chimp’s privacy policy for further information.

At this time, your personal information is not shared with any other third-party applications. This list may be amended from time to time in the Website’s sole discretion.

Except when required by law, I will not distribute, or reveal your email addresses or other personal information without your consent; however, I may disclose or transfer personal information collected through the Website to third parties who acquire all or a portion of the business, which may be the result of a merger, consolidation, or purchase of all or a portion of our assets, or in connection with any bankruptcy or reorganization proceeding brought by or against us.

ANONYMOUS DATA

From time to time, I may use anonymous data, which does not identify you. Anonymous data may be used for marketing, advertising, or other uses. Examples of this anonymous data may include analytics or information collected from cookies.

I may use third-party advertising companies to serve content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use cookies. Affiliate Program Participation

Clicking on an Affiliate Link does not cost you anything or raise the price of your purchase, should you choose to purchase something. When clicking an Affiliate link a cookie will be placed on your browser to track any sales for purposes of commissions. No personally identifiable information is passed to the website.

RIGHTS RELATED TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Opt-out – If you join a Newsletter or email list, you may opt-out of future email communications by following the unsubscribe links in the emails.

Access Personal Data – You may access the personal information I have about you by submitting a request to grandma@EccentricGrandma.com.

Delete Personal Data 

In certain situations, you may request that I erase or forget your personal data. To do so, please submit a request to grandma@EccentricGrandma.com.

Please note that I may need to retain certain information for record keeping purposes or to complete transactions, or when required by law.

CHILDREN’S INFORMATION

The Website does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 16. If you are under 16, please do not send any information to the Website. If a parent or guardian believes that the Website has personally identifiable information of a child under the age of 16 in its database, please contact us immediately at grandma@EccentricGrandma.com, and I will do my best to promptly remove such information from our records.
